What is “Press-Ready” Art?Â
“Press-Ready” is the standard term used for an image (or digital art) that is ready for print. “Printables” is another term often used for “press-ready” images.
DPI: Web vs Print Quality
When customers buy digital art, they often expect what they see on the screen to look just as good on their wall. The reality is that most image directories provide “web-ready” files, while AIsports.art offers these images for free – you also have the choice to upgrade the images to “press-ready” files for printing purposes.
Most image directories provide files between 72 – 96 DPI because they’re optimized for screens—not for physical printing. If you try to print a 72 DPI image at a standard size (like 8″ x 10″), the printer doesn’t have enough “information” to fill the space. These lower-resolution images may look sharp on a phone, tablet, or computer, but when printed, they often appear blurry, pixelated, or lacking fine detail.

AIsports.art offers you the ability to upgrade free web-formatted (72-96 dpi) images to high-quality 300 dpi images – allowing them to be printed on a variety of merchandise. 300 dpi is considered the industry standard for producing high-quality prints. These images contain roughly four times the detail of a standard web image, allowing them to produce crisp lines, vibrant colors, and professional-level clarity on paper.

Hi. My name is Thomas and I am the creator of AIsports.art. I run this site with help from my mom and daughter. Designing art on the computer became a fascination of mine after playing around on the Apple Macintosh in high-school. Although, my very 1st computer wasn’t an IBM, it was a Pentium 90 by Dell.
Wow, what a difference from today! No more owning the software after a one-time payment. Now, you have to pay every month!
My other passion is sports. I love playing basketball and golf – while I enjoy watching basketball and football, especially the Seahawks.
A newer interest of mine has been AI and print-on-demand combined with graphic design. In fact, the combination of AI and print-on-demand are a huge influence in the creation of AIsports.art.
